As some of you may or may not know a great war is taking place.
The amount of people that is involved is not as important as what the possible outcome could mean.
Hal Turner is a radio show host of the show The Hal Turner Show. Apparently this show was rated #1. The topics on Hal's show are usually about what Illegal Aliens and Minorities are doing to this country as well as government conspiracies.
A few individuals from 7chan's Insurgency channel participated in a prank calling session with Hal Turner's show.
The session lead to threats against the "IRC chat room 7chan" and counter threats from participators stating that his fans would not be able to have a voice(-v or +m) if they ventured into the IRC chat room.
After the show Hal Turner reported (on his website) that he received death threats against his family from the prank callers and decided to post the telephone numbers on his site at http://www.halturnershow.com(which points to fbi.gov as of now). Since then he has asked for his fans to call up the numbers that that cranked his show.
Members of the Raid saw this as attack against Annoniminity and decided to strike back.
They now have detailed information on Hal Turner: http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/index.php/Hal_Turner
If 7chan and 4chan (http://www.7chan.org and http://www.4chan.org) are able to bring Hal Turner to some type of justice, I will fear that 7chan/4chan will be the most feared known entity on the internet.
My top 5 of feared known entities on the internet:
1. Google.com -- Because I can search full names and find out where someone lives thanks to a scholorship program. 2. FBI.gov -- Need I say more? 3. Slashdot.org -- Somewhat harmless. Yet, if your site is apart of a major article that gets posted prepare to receive a very large amount of traffic that will bring your site to a halt. 4. 7chan/4chan -- Anonymous members, lots of them. 5. halturnershow.com -- Proclaimed #1 show and the content will make you scream WTF?! HOW DID THIS BECOME A #1 SHOW?!
about #1. I sent a message to the site owner. Hopefully i won't have to call them.
Remember the movie Fight Club? |

| IE7 exposed |

As long as I have used Internet Explorer 6, I could never trust the browser for browsing. I was hoping that with the new and improved Internet Explorer would allow me to use only one browser for the Internet. Unfortunately, this will not happen with IE7 and I have yet to get to use the Phishing Site detector. After seeing what happened in IE7 when logged into Slashdot, I felt obligated to review Internet Explorer 7.
The Noticeable Features of Internet Explorer 7: - Customized Searching
- I can choose just about any website that has a search engine and be able to search that site from my browser along with many other sites.
- This is a plus if one of your work repsonsibilities is to purchase hardware
- Tabbed Browsing
- Clear Type Support
- If you have an LCD screen or any other flat panel monitor, this is a feature that allows the text on your screen appear smooth and more legible
- This is great for those who have poor vision. My father could find this useful
- Visible URL of Pop-Up Window
- This is awesome: Website hacking here I come!
- Removed menu bar from the top of the IE window
- This is a good feature since it allows more viewable space by default.
- I have a feeling though there is a user out there that depends on the menu bar.
- Phishing Site detector
- Supposedly it should be able to notify you if your viewing a phishing or legit site.
- I will definitely put this feature to the test.
IE7 is a big improvement over Internet Explorer 6; the new features improve your browsing experience by allowing tabbed browsing of multiple pages.
Now, how will I test Internet Explorer 7? I will test it using several key points that ensures the best browsing experience.
They are:
- Page Rendering
- The displaying of a web-page, plugins and other content.
- Performance
- Memory usage, processor usage, does it crash? etc.
- Security
- Phising protection, Mal-ware installation prevention, and does it properly work with secured websites
- Interface
- Page Rendering Performance
- Loading times for web pages(until I see text)
Will update with the review. |

| Enable Concurrent Sessions |
[Aug. 4th, 2005|04:53 pm] |
Whoa. Apparently this should allow you to do multiple Concurrent sessions in Windows XP
It appears a tiny registry change on a machine running Windows XP SP2 will enable SP2's Concurrent Sessions for Remote Desktop. This allows more than one user to use the machine at the same time.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/CurrentControlSet/Control/Terminal Server/Licensing Core
Create a new DWORD entry "EnableConcurrentSessions" and assign a value of 1 to it. Concurrent Sessions is now enabled. |
